Position: Cost Engineer

Project Time & Cost, Inc. (PT&C, Inc.) an Atlanta based national cost engineering consulting firm, is seeking senior level Cost Engineers for various locations.

Job Duties

Selected candidates will be primarily involved in providing cost engineering and consultingservices for PT&C's Department of Energy (DOE) and the Department of Defense (DOD)clients. Candidates will be responsible for the development, review, assessment, and validation of cost and schedule baselines for major Federal programs and capital line item projects. The candidate will also provide streamlining of cost management for Operations and Maintenance for major environmental facilities. The candidate will work on a multi-disciplinary team on a wide range of environmental & facilities related programs including: management consulting studies, development of independent government estimates, assessment of alternatives, development of programs and project management systems, and the development of resource loaded schedules. The ideal candidate would have worked for the DOE or the DOD as an employee or as a contractor
supporting the Agencies.

Requirements

Experience working for the DOE or the DOD as an employee or as a contractor supporting the Agencies must accompany a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Engineering field (advanced degree preferred); 10+ years of relevant industry experience; knowledge of the DOE's project management procedures including DOE Order #413.3 and the External Independent Review Process; and extensive knowledge of DOE Programs including Environmental Management (EM), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), and Nuclear Energy (NE) or extensive knowledge of the DOD environmental programs including Defense Environmental Restoration Program (DERP) or Formally Utilized Defense Sites (FUDS). Experience in Activity Based Costing (ABC) methodologies, knowledge of computerized estimating and scheduling systems (specifically Primavera); good communication abilities; and skills in technical writing/detailed analysis and documentation of assumptions, basis of estimate, finding, conclusions, and recommendations are also essential. Travel may be extensive depending on the projects/client requirements.
