Minimum Requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum five years of project management experience on energy/renewable energy related projects.CEM (Certified Energy Manager) is required.Knowledge of current energy:related legislation and requirements for Federal agencies.Requires the ability to perform economic alternatives analysis of various capital projects; perform feasibility studies for renewable energy projects; provide conceptual design of energy efficiency/renewable energy systems; perform material and energy balances; and possess the ability to interpret mechanical drawings and process flow diagrams.Must be able to use RETScreen for high level renewable energy screening; ACAD for conceptual design; Visio for process and material balances; and standard MS Office suite for analysis, reports and presentations.Position requires excellent client communication skills, ability to work independently, and effective time:management, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Successful candidate will be articulate with a professional presence along with solid decision:making, planning and organizational skills.This position requires successful completion of the URS Project Management Certification program within 6 months of hire. This certification program is a series of learning modules and is available on:line through the URS Learning Management System at no financial cost to the employee.

Job Description:
As an Energy Management Consultant, you will provide support for the growing energy management practice. This position will provide support for energy management activities for multiple energy/sustainability projects by defining the problem, reviewing the data, completing analysis, interpreting the results and clearly communicating the recommendations both with internal and external clients. This position will be part of the Energy Management Team in the Facilities Department.This individual is expected to manage project specific energy management tasks including:Utility data collection and analysis; creation of economic models; interaction with clients; research related to energy related incentives; and assistance with development of proposals.You will interact with both other departments within URS/WD and directly with clients. You will be required to make professional presentations to client or agency representatives. You will also interact with multi:discipline and multi:office teams within URS/WD. Must be able to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists.
