About the role:
In this new role you’ll be responsible for inspiring your engineering team, facilitating the design of our systems, troubleshooting problems in the field and driving R&D efforts with our partners.  Your strong leadership experience will help us develop our talented team to be the best in the business.  Your creativity and aptitude for solving problems will enable us to grow to our next stage of maturity as an organization.
 
How you’ll spend your days:

Building, developing and inspiring your engineering team to far exceed their own expectations
Managing all aspects of engineering (documentation, warranty & repairs, proposal engineering, costing, site work)
Leading by example – you’re able to contribute as an active member of your team because who wants a manager with rusty skills?
100% hands on engineer that can help create engineering structure and produce at the same time.
Authoring documentation at all levels (CAD, design, layout, promotional)
Wearing many hats and juggling multiple priorities – after all we are a small company

What you’ll bring to the table:

BS in Mechanical Engineering , PE highly desirable
10+ years of professional experience in industrial automation, manufacturing systems or robotics
Previous hands-on experience with Autocad, 3D rendering and MEP applications
Experience working with and multimillion dollar projects, coordinating field team members, managing vendors/suppliers
Comfortable with travel commitments of between 10% and 25%
