I am a semiprofessional musician based in the Denver area. I have been playing trumpet for over 16 years and I have been featured on several projects throughout the Front Range including the colorado Renaissance Festival. In addition to trumpet, I play bass, keys, guitar, drumkit, and I sing baritone. I'm currently working on my second album as a lyricist/instrumentalist and perform with several bands at venues all over Colorado.

In addition to my musical pursuits, I am also a TEFL Certified English instructor and a published poet. While attending CU Boulder, I tutored adult students in basic Japanese, and ran an after school program teaching middle-school students hip-hop fundamentals. I have extensive public-speaking experience and know that simple things such as word choice and tense make big differences both in and outside of the classroom.

My tutoring methods are student-centered and focus on practical application of fundamental concepts. That means practice practice practice!
